The only other place to get food in this part of the airport is basically a food court with pizzas and subs. My expectations for this place were very low but I was pleasantly surprised that the food was actually pretty decent. It was clean and, sure, not at the level of a New York restaurant but in case you hadn't noticed you are not in NYC, you're in Newark airport.
We were today in Sora Terminal A. The food was delicious, sushi was fresh. Especially Sara did the service best, we will definitely come back again because of her. Must try place, but come when Sara is there!!!!

Gentleman working alone tonight 07-7-24 made me the best airport sushi roll I've ever had. Despite having to do so much by himself (making fresh rolls, cashier, cleaning) each roll was made with care give him a raise.
Had some time to kill while my flight was delayed during the airport outage. The place was packed so it took about 20min to get a seat and then another 15 min for someone to come get my order but every staff member I interacted with was very pleasant despite the rush of people. Got a salmon roll, shrimp tempura roll and a cold drink. Rolls were made fresh and honestly above my quality expectations for an airport sushi roll. All bar seats and some tables have outlets so I was able to charge my phone too. The surface was a bit sticky but they were wiping tables between customers and as needed. Don’t expect fancy but solid choice for an airport option.

Had a nice time at Sora! Great place to enjoy a meal while waiting for your flight, relaxed with friendly service and didn’t need to wait too long for the food. The cocktails were really good, we got the yuzu bramble and Mount Fuji. For food we got the miso ramen, Philly roll, salmon avocado roll, and spicy tuna roll. It’s the only full service restaurant in this section of the terminal. Recommend!
I saw all the bad reviews, but honestly my experience with this place was pretty good. Maybe I got lucky? I ordered a seaweed salad, a volcano roll and another roll of sushi for take out. I was only waiting about twenty minutes, and the cashier personally brought the food to me which was nice. The food was pretty good. No complaints. I did expect the volcano roll to be spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. Other than that it was tasty and seemed fresh.
